Currency and organization data

Set the default currency used throughout the system.

The default currency formats all the monetary values in the system (lists, dashboard, board). It applies to the whole organization and is set by the administrator.

  1. Go to Settings → Organization.
  2. Choose the currency (Real, Dollar, Euro and others).
  3. Click Save. From then on, values are displayed in the new currency.
💡 Only profiles with access to the settings can change the currency.

Multi-currency: exchange rates and consolidation

If you work with deals in several currencies (the opportunity has the "Currency" field), register the exchange rates in Settings → Organization, in the "Exchange rates" section. Enter how much 1 unit of each foreign currency is worth in your base currency (e.g. base Real, 1 USD = 5.20 BRL).

With the rates registered, the SUM and AVERAGE reports over monetary values start consolidating each record into the base currency automatically before summing, so the total does not mix currencies. A note indicates when the result was consolidated. Currencies without a registered rate are treated at parity (1:1) so they do not distort the total.

💡 Only profiles with access to the settings can register or remove exchange rates.

Corporate groups: functional currency, consolidation and frozen values

When multi-entity is enabled, each company in the group has a "functional currency" (in Settings → Organizational structure) and the group has a "consolidation currency". If a company does not set its functional currency, it inherits the organization currency; a group without a consolidation currency also inherits the organization currency.

When you create or update an opportunity, the system FREEZES the value at the exchange rate in effect at that moment: it stores the original amount and currency (as you typed them), the rate and date used, the amount in the company's functional currency and the amount in the group's consolidation currency. These historical values do NOT change when the rate changes later. They are only recalculated if you edit the amount or currency of the opportunity.

In the opportunity pipeline, a selector at the top switches between three views: Local (each deal's original currency), Converted (the company's functional currency) and Consolidated (the group's currency). The converted/consolidated view shows the currency used and the date the rate was frozen.

Chile: Chilean Peso (CLP) and Unidad de Fomento (UF)

The Chilean Peso (CLP) and the UF (Unidad de Fomento) are available in the currency list in Settings → Organization, both as the organization default currency and per business unit. CLP is shown without decimals, the Chilean way. The UF is an indexed unit (not an ordinary currency): it is formatted as UF 1.234,56.

Because the UF changes day by day, the system does not fetch its value automatically. To convert UF to and from another currency in the SUM and AVERAGE reports, register the UF rate in your base currency in Settings → Organization, in the "Exchange rates" section (e.g. 1 UF = 39,000 CLP). Without a registered rate, the UF is treated at parity (1:1), like the other currencies.

Business model (B2B, B2C or both)

In Settings → Organization, in the "Business model" card, choose whether you sell to companies (B2B), consumers (B2C) or both. This adjusts the labels and screens across the system: in B2B the account is called "Company", in B2C it becomes "Customer" and in Both it becomes "Account" (the same applies to the field that links the opportunity to the account). You also set this when creating your account, in the "You sell to" field.

💡 The change is display-only and applies to the standard labels. Any label you have already customized stays as it is. Only profiles with access to the settings can change the business model.
