Calendar: subscribe to your meetings (iCal)
See your CRM meetings and tasks in Google, Apple, or Outlook Calendar by subscribing to a URL, with no external account.
The CRM publishes a personal calendar feed (iCal format) for each user. You subscribe to that URL in your calendar app and then see, inside it, the dated meetings and tasks assigned to you in the CRM. No external account is needed: it works instantly.
The URL is unique and secret, so treat it like a password. Anyone with the link can see your activities. It is ready as soon as you open the screen; if you need to invalidate it, generate a new link and the old URL stops working.
Prerequisites
- No external account or credential: the feed is built by us and works instantly.
- A calendar app that accepts subscribing to an iCal/ICS URL: Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or Outlook.
- Be logged into Sellio to copy your personal URL under Settings → Integrations.
Where to find your URL
- Open Settings → Integrations.
- On the "Calendar (iCal feed)" card, click "Copy" to copy the feed URL.
How to subscribe
- Google Calendar: Other calendars → From URL → paste the URL.
- Apple Calendar (Mac/iPhone): File → New Calendar Subscription → paste the URL.
- Outlook: Add calendar → Subscribe from web → paste the URL.
From then on, your dated meetings and tasks appear in the calendar and are updated automatically by the app itself (the app controls the refresh frequency).
Add a single event
In the Activities list, each dated item shows a calendar button (📅). Clicking it downloads a .ics file for that activity, which is handy for adding a single event to the calendar without subscribing to the entire feed.
Two-way sync (creating and editing events directly in Google/Outlook from the CRM) is coming soon and requires connecting your own OAuth account with the provider. For now, the iCal feed already covers the essentials: seeing your CRM agenda where you already work.
How to test
- Copy the feed URL on the "Calendar (iCal feed)" card and subscribe to it in your calendar app (see above).
- Confirm that your dated meetings and tasks appear in the external calendar.
- Create a new dated activity in the CRM and wait for the app's next refresh (the frequency is set by the app) to see it appear.
Troubleshooting
- Nothing appears: confirm that you pasted the full URL and that there are activities assigned TO YOU with a date from the last few weeks onward (the feed shows only yours).
- Slow to update: the refresh frequency of a subscribed calendar is controlled by the app (Google/Apple/Outlook), not by the CRM, and it can take hours. For an immediate event, download the single .ics (the 📅 button on the activity).
- The URL stopped working: you probably generated a new link (the old one is invalidated). Copy the current URL and subscribe again.
- I no longer want to share: generate a new link to invalidate the previous one, and whoever had the old one loses access.
