Currency conversion in the pipeline and daily automatic rates
When your deals use different currencies, the CRM converts every value to your organization's base currency before adding them up, across the board and funnel, the dashboard, the forecast and reports. Rates refresh on their own once a day, and you can pin a manual rate whenever you want.
Each deal stores its value in its own currency. Whenever you look at a total that mixes deals in different currencies (a board column total, the funnel value, the dashboard pipeline, the forecast or a report), the CRM converts each value to your organization's base currency and only then adds them up. The number you see is always consistent, in your base currency.
Automatic rates
The system fetches exchange rates once a day from a public source and keeps a daily history. Each total is converted using the rate in effect. You do not have to do anything: in Settings, Organization, the exchange section shows the day's rates, the date and the source.
Pin a manual rate
- Open Settings and then Organization.
- In the exchange section, pick the currency and enter how many units of your base currency equal 1 unit of that currency.
- Save. The manual rate takes over from the automatic one and shows up marked as a manual override.
When there are deals in a foreign currency, the board and funnel show a note that totals were converted to your base currency. Operator cost and margin are never shown to the customer; exchange only covers converting business values.
