Sending domain: send emails from your own domain

By default, marketing emails go out from a platform sender. You can register your own verified domain so campaigns come from your address, like acme.com. Just publish a few DNS records and set the sender.

Until you set up your own domain, marketing emails go out from the platform default sender. Registering your domain makes campaigns look like yours and improves delivery, because recipients recognize the sender.

Add and verify the domain

  1. Open Settings and then Sending domain.
  2. Enter the domain you use to send email, like acme.com, and click Add.
  3. Copy the DNS records shown (type, name and value) and publish them in your domain DNS panel.
  4. Come back and click Verify. DNS propagation can take a few minutes.
  5. Once the status is Verified, set the sender name and email (the email must belong to the domain, like you@acme.com).
💡 IMPORTANT: the DNS records must be published at the PROVIDER where you registered the domain (e.g. GoDaddy, Cloudflare, Namecheap, Hostinger), NOT inside SellioCRM. Until they are published and propagated, the status stays "Failed" and campaigns keep going out from the default sender. If it stays "Failed": check that you copied each record exactly (type, name and value) and click Verify again; propagation can take from a few minutes to a few hours. The system also reminds admins by notification while the domain is not verified.
💡 Only MARKETING and campaign emails start going out from your domain. System emails (invites, security alerts, billing, app notifications) keep going out from the platform sender.

If a domain is not verified yet, or if you have not set a sender, campaigns keep going out from the platform default sender, without interruption. Only administrators can manage sending domains.

Get the replies in your inbox, without DNS (Reply-To)

If you cannot publish the DNS records yet, you can still receive campaign REPLIES in your domain email: when sending the campaign, fill the "Reply-to" field with your email (e.g. contact@yourdomain.com). The campaign still goes out from the platform default sender, but when the contact replies, the reply goes straight to your address. Reply-To is just a header, so it accepts any email, without domain verification.

💡 The fear of "taking down the server" when adding DNS: the email records (TXT/CNAME for DKIM/SPF) do NOT affect your website. If you want the full sender on your domain without any risk to your main domain, use a dedicated SUBDOMAIN (e.g. mail.yourdomain.com) when adding the sending domain: the records stay isolated on that subdomain.
