Notifications and preferences
The SellioCRM bell tells you when something needs your attention: a mention, a task assigned to you, an approval sitting idle, a contract about to expire. The Notifications page shows everything in order, and Notification preferences let you choose, category by category, whether you get it in the app, by email, both or neither.
SellioCRM tells you instead of waiting for you to find out on your own. A mention in a comment, a task that just became yours, an approval waiting on a decision, a contract nearing its end: all of it becomes a notification. You are the one who controls the volume, and the control is per category and per channel, not a single on and off switch.
The bell and the list
The bell sits in the side navigation, with the number of unread notifications. It refreshes on its own while you work. Clicking it takes you to the Notifications page.
- Unread items are highlighted, with a red dot beside them.
- Each row carries the title, the text of the notice and the date and time.
- When a notification points somewhere, the word Open appears. Clicking marks it read and takes you straight to the record or screen in question.
- The Mark all as read button clears the counter in one go, and only appears when there is something unread.
- The list shows your most recent notifications. It is personal: you only see what was addressed to you.
The categories
Every notification belongs to a category. They are: Mentions, when someone cites you in comments or activities; Tasks, when a task is assigned to you; Approvals, for requests waiting on your decision; Deals, for quote responses and deal registrations; Contracts, for contract and account expirations and renewals; Governance, for configuration changes and audit; Team, for broadcasts from your team; and System, for automatic reminders and alerts.
Choosing how you get them
- Open Settings and, under Channels and communication, go to Notification preferences.
- You will see a grid with one row per category and two channel columns: In-app and Email.
- Uncheck the box for the combination you no longer want. For example, unchecking Email on the System row keeps the automatic alerts in the bell and stops sending them to your inbox.
- The change takes effect immediately, there is no save button.
- Checking it again restores the default, which is to receive.
By default, everything is on in both channels. The system only stores what you turned off, so a new category created in the future arrives switched on rather than silent.
Email digest
On the same page there is the Email digest option. Instead of individual emails, you get a periodic summary of your unread notifications. The options are Off, Daily and Weekly, and the default is Off. It is the way out for anyone who wants to stay informed without being interrupted by every single notice.
On your phone
The app shows the same unread counter and the same list, with mark one or all as read. The preferences are the ones on your account: what you turned off on the web stays off on your phone.
Frequently asked questions
- Do the preferences apply to the whole team? No. They are yours, personal. Every user tunes their own.
- I turned a category off and I still get email from it. Check that the message is not something else, such as a marketing campaign or a scheduled report, which have controls of their own.
- Can I delete a notification? There is no delete; you mark it read and it stops counting in the bell.
- I clicked Open and the screen complained about permissions. The notification may point at a record you can no longer see, for example after a change of role.
- Why do I get nothing at all? Check that the boxes for the category are checked and that the Email digest is not bundling everything into a single send.
