QBR · the quarterly review with your customer
A QBR is the recurring meeting where you sit down with the customer to review the period: what happened, how healthy the account is and what comes next. SellioCRM keeps those reviews in two complementary places: the QBRs object, for the formal record of the meeting, and the QBRs panel inside the company record, which also suggests the agenda from the account's own signals.
The recurring review with a customer is where the relationship holds together: you show what you delivered, hear what is bothering them and agree on what comes next. The perennial problem is memory. With nothing written down, nobody remembers what was promised last quarter, and the next meeting starts from zero. SellioCRM keeps the review so it becomes history.
The QBRs object
In the menu, under the Customer success group, open QBRs. It is a standard object in the system, with a list, search, saved views, attachments and comments, like any other.
- Title: required, for example Q1 QBR, Acme.
- Customer: a lookup into your company records, to tie the review to the right account.
- Meeting date.
- Period: the quarter or range covered, for example Q1 2026.
- Account health: Healthy, Watch or At risk, your read on the period.
- Notes: the summary of the meeting.
- Next steps: what was agreed.
The list shows Title, Customer, Meeting date and Account health. That is the record that stays in the account's history and that anyone on the team can read before talking to the customer.
The QBRs panel on the company record
Open the company in your account records and look for the QBRs section on the side of the record. That panel is operational: it is for planning the meeting and ticking off what has been covered.
- Click New QBR to create a blank review, or From recommended agenda to have the system create the review with a suggested agenda already in it.
- Set the Held date and the status: Planned, Held or Cancelled.
- Fill in the meeting Score, if your team uses scoring.
- Add agenda items in the Agenda item field and tick each one off as it gets covered.
- If the review was created by mistake, the X removes the whole review, and the X next to an item removes only that item.
- When the review is closed, click Register in QBRs to turn it into a record in the QBRs object. Clicking it again updates that same record instead of creating another one.
The suggested agenda
The From recommended agenda button builds the agenda out of the signals the system already holds about the account, with no artificial intelligence and no guessing: open risks, the volume of open tickets, low adoption, expansion opportunities in flight, an upcoming renewal and the account's overall health. Each item is ordered by severity, and the list comes back empty when there is no meaningful signal, which is information in its own right. The items created are a starting point: rename, remove and add as you like before the meeting.
Which of the two to use
The two are different layers and stay that way: the panel is where the review is prepared and run, and the QBRs object is the formal record that stays in the history, in lists, in reports and in automations. What changed is that the crossing is now one click: with the review closed, Register in QBRs creates the record already carrying the account, the meeting date, the minutes as notes and the agenda items still open as next steps. Publishing again updates that same record instead of creating a second one, the link shows up as Open record, and the panel also lists the QBR records the account already has, so the same meeting does not get written down twice by two people. Account health is left blank on purpose: it is your read on the period, not something the system will put in your mouth. Publishing again rewrites the record's title, meeting date, notes and next steps with what is in the panel, because the panel is the source of those four fields; anything typed straight into the record, such as the account health, is left untouched.
Permissions and frequently asked questions
- Who can record one? The QBRs object follows the access profile set by your administrator. The panel on the company requires write permission in the system.
- The QBRs panel does not show on the company. It only exists on the company record, not on a contact or an opportunity, and it disappears when your profile cannot read it.
- The recommended agenda came back empty. It means the account has no meaningful signals right now. That is honest: the system does not invent an agenda.
- I deleted a QBR from the object by accident. It goes to the Trash and can be restored within the retention window.
