Fundraising with the rigor your donors’ trust demands

A nonprofit runs on trust: from donors, from the board, from auditors and from the people it serves. SellioCRM Nonprofit & Fundraising is built on the rules this sector never forgives when broken: a person is one constituent with several simultaneous roles, a gift is immutable once receipted, revenue and relationship credit never mix, and beneficiary data never feeds fundraising. It is almost a purpose-built fundraising CRM, on top of a complete platform.

Why it is different

The constituent at the center, with simultaneous roles

The same person is a donor, volunteer, member and board member at the same time, without becoming four records. Roles are simultaneous by design, never a type field that forces you to pick one.

Hard credit and soft credit separated by test

Every gift has exactly one hard credit, which goes to the books and the receipt, and as many soft credits as the relationship deserves. Financial reports sum hard credit only; relationship reports sum both, always labeled.

Immutable gifts, corrections with a trail

After the receipt, a gift is never edited: corrections are compensating adjustments, and a corrected receipt means cancellation plus a numbered reissue. Fund allocations sum to exactly the gift amount, enforced in the database.

A wall between programs and fundraising

Beneficiary data is not donor data. A technical wall in the database (deny-by-RLS) keeps fundraising from reading beneficiary data, applies even to admins, and every exception access is logged.

Everything inside

Real product modules, ready on day one. No empty promise: every item below exists and operates today.

Constituents and households

One record per person, with every role, and the whole household kept in order.

  • A central constituent with simultaneous roles: donor, volunteer, member, board, prospect, beneficiary
  • Households with members and dedup: three people in one home get one mailing, not three
  • Complete relationship history per constituent
  • Consent recorded per communication purpose
  • Ready for segmentation with the platform’s segment tools

Funds, campaigns and appeals

Where the money came from and what it may be used for, without confusion.

  • Funds with a declared restriction of purpose
  • Campaigns, appeals and packages as the attribution source of every gift
  • Restricted gifts can only be allocated to the fund’s purpose, with alerts in the CRM
  • Honest fund accounting: the CRM classifies and alerts, the authoritative balance stays in your accounting ERP
  • Campaign analysis by appeal and package over the correct credits

Gifts, credits and batches

The heart of fundraising, with the math your auditor and board expect.

  • Gifts immutable after the receipt: corrections only via compensating adjustments, never by editing the amount
  • One hard credit per gift (books and receipt) and N labeled soft credits (relationship)
  • Allocation with a database constraint: allocations sum to exactly the gift amount
  • Gift batches for bulk entry with review
  • Money always in cents with an explicit currency, never floating point

Tax receipts by jurisdiction

Numbered, immutable receipts, correct in whichever country your organization reports.

  • Atomic receipt numbering with its own counter, no gaps and no repeats
  • Immutable receipts: a correction is a cancellation plus a numbered reissue, with a full trail
  • FMV of benefits: the deductible amount is separated from the gift amount for dinners, galas and auctions
  • Country policy packs in data: receipt and deductibility rules per jurisdiction, nothing hardcoded
  • Ready for global operation, with no single-country hardcode

Beneficiaries protected for real

Serving vulnerable people takes more than a promise: it takes a technical wall.

  • A dedicated data class for beneficiaries, with encryption and read auditing
  • A program↔fundraising wall enforced in the database (deny-by-RLS), valid even for admins
  • Break-glass for emergencies: exceptional access granted with a record of who, when and why
  • No fundraising segmentation uses beneficiary data, and a test proves it
  • A sensitive-data access trail available for audits

Anonymity as a technical guarantee

The donor who asked for anonymity stays out of everything, and not because someone remembered to filter.

  • Anonymous donors excluded from donor walls, exports and recognition reports by a service-level gate, not a screen filter
  • Recognition restrictions honored in any public listing
  • AI respects it too: anonymous donor data never enters a prompt
  • Recognition preferences recorded per constituent

Communication by purpose

A thank-you is not marketing. An ask is. The system knows the difference.

  • Distinct purposes: receipt, stewardship, solicitation, event, membership, volunteering
  • Receipts and thank-yous are never blocked by a marketing opt-out
  • Solicitations honor the constituent’s recorded consent
  • Preferences by channel and purpose, reusing the platform’s consent engine
  • Platform journeys and flows available for stewardship

Duplicates and constituent merge

One person, one record: the system suggests, you decide and the history stays.

  • Probabilistic duplicate detection by name and birth date, reusing the platform’s matching engine
  • Constituent merge: roles and household memberships migrate to the surviving record
  • The merged record points to the survivor and nothing is deleted: the trail remains
  • Merging is a human decision: the system suggests candidates, you do the merging

Governance built in

Industry rules enforced in the engine, not in a slide deck.

Mandatory data classification

Every column in the vertical is born with a data class, from public to sensitive beneficiary, and an automated check breaks the build if anyone creates a column without one. Protection by design, not by discipline.

Money that reconciles with accounting

Amounts in cents with an explicit currency, conversions recorded with rate, source and timestamp, immutable gifts and exact-sum allocation enforced in the database. The CRM’s number is the number your auditor verifies.

Wealth screening under control

External-provider screening ships disabled by default and gated. If your organization chooses to enable it, every result is labeled as an unconfirmed estimate, with the legal basis recorded and read access audited.

Multi-tenant and reversible

Row-level security on every table of the vertical, per-organization activation with a flag, and disabling the vertical never deletes data. What is yours stays yours.

Plus the whole SellioCRM

The vertical adds to the complete platform, in the same system and with no extra subscriptions.
