Cloud storage for backups: Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox and Box
Four cloud destinations to keep your data backups in your OWN account (BYO): Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox and Box. You paste the access token in Settings, Integrations, enable it, and the scheduled backup starts going to the chosen cloud. Encrypted credentials, no cost from us.
These connectors give your organization more choices for where to keep backups: besides the platform storage, you can send the package to your own cloud account. They follow the same model as the others: bring your own account (BYO). Open Settings, Integrations, find the card, paste the access token (always encrypted) and enable it. Until it is configured and enabled, nothing happens.
The file sent is always your organization’s and goes to your own cloud account, with your own token. Nothing from another organization is accessed or sent.
How to wire it to backups
- Connect one of the clouds (Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox or Box) by pasting the access token and, if you like, a destination folder.
- Enable the card.
- Go to Settings, Backup, and for the destination choose storage in your own account. The backup package starts going to the cloud you enabled.
Google Drive
Paste an access token of your Google account with Drive permission. Enter a folder ID to keep files in a specific place, or leave it blank for the root. We store the id and the view link of each uploaded file.
OneDrive
Paste an access token of your Microsoft account with OneDrive permission. Enter a folder path (for example, Backups/CRM) or leave it blank for the root. We store the id and the address of each file.
Dropbox
Paste an access token of your Dropbox account with write permission. Enter a folder path (for example, /CRM Backups) or leave it blank for the app root. When possible, we also create a share link for the file.
Box
Paste an access token of your Box account with write permission. Enter a folder ID (0 is the root) or leave it blank. We store the file id and, when possible, a share link.
None of these costs anything from us: the account and credentials are yours. If the upload fails, the backup is never lost: it falls back automatically to the in-app download.
