Educational journeys: ready-made recipes for the moments the school already has

A new inquiry, an application that stopped halfway, a document nobody sent, an open day, an offer with no answer, a fresh enrolment, re-enrolment opening and an early alert. Each of these is a ready-made journey you switch on and edit. There is no send button here: the message goes out through family communication, with the custody gate, consent per person and the cap per household. Part of the Education vertical, optional and off until an admin activates it.

The Education screen gains a Educational journeys block. A journey is a moment the school already produces plus what to say when it happens. You do not build the moments: the earlier waves already produce them, from the inquiry form to the early alert. What this block adds is the ready-made recipe, switched off, waiting for you to turn it on and adjust the wording.

💡 Seeding creates every recipe switched off and speaks to nobody. A journey only starts running after you activate it, and you can deactivate it at any time.

The recipes that come ready

  • A new inquiry arrived: thank the family and put the call on the counsellor's list.
  • Registered for an event or a campus visit: confirm the place and prepare the visit.
  • Application open and idle: offer help to finish it.
  • Document awaiting review: ask for what is missing before it delays the process.
  • Offer with no answer: say the place is being held and offer a conversation.
  • Offer accepted: explain the next steps, contract and remaining documents.
  • Enrolment created: welcome the family and start onboarding.
  • Re-enrolment open: invite the family to confirm early.
  • Early alert open: ask the family for a short conversation about how the term is going.

One journey per household, and the loser is recorded

Two journeys often want the same family on the same day: re-enrolment is open and a document is pending, or an early alert is open and the campaign is running. The higher priority wins and the other is deferred with the reason written down, visible in Conflicts already resolved. A campaign that did not go out with a recorded reason is a different thing from a system failure, and the difference is what you will need three weeks later.

The message goes out through family communication

There is no send button in this block, and that is the point. The journey decides when to speak and about what; who may receive it is decided by family communication: a guardian under a custody restriction never receives anything, consent is checked per person, each recipient gets their own language and channel, and the daily cap belongs to the household, not to each adult in it. A journey cannot go around any of that, because it has no way of sending on its own.

💡 Use Who would be contacted now before switching a journey on. It writes nothing and sends nothing, and it is the exact path the scheduled run takes, so what you see is what would happen.
