Find and verify email, evergreen campaign and anti-duplicate across campaigns

How to fill in missing emails using credits, keep a campaign always alive from a segment, and stop the same contact from entering two campaigns at once.

Three features keep your campaigns full and clean: find the missing email on a lead, keep a campaign always alive from a segment, and prevent the same contact from entering two campaigns at once.

Find and verify email (credits)

In the campaign builder, add the "Find email" step before an email step. When the lead has no email yet, we try to discover it from the name and the website domain and save it to the record. If we find one, the email steps that follow start working normally. You can also verify a standalone email to check whether it looks valid before sending.

  1. Open the campaign and click to add a step.
  2. Choose "Find email" and place it before the email.
  3. Optional: before sending, use a field condition step to continue only for those who have an email.
💡 Without a finder configured, the step runs in simulated mode (it does not charge and does not break the campaign): it simply moves on. With the system finder on, each find or verify uses one credit. You never see cost or margin: you pay the credit price in dollars.

Evergreen campaign (always-live list)

An evergreen campaign draws from a dynamic segment. Every so often (every 12 hours by default), we look for the NEW members of the segment that are not yet in the campaign and enroll them automatically, respecting the anti-duplicate rule. That way the campaign never stalls: every lead that starts to fit the segment joins on its own.

  1. Create a segment with the criteria that define the audience.
  2. On the campaign, choose that segment as the source and turn on the evergreen option.
  3. Activate the campaign: new members join on the next sweeps.

Anti-duplicate across campaigns and members

To avoid pestering the same contact on two fronts, the system can prevent a contact already active in one campaign (owned by anyone on the team) from entering another. The preference lives in Settings and has three modes: off, warn (enrolls but counts duplicates) and block (does not enroll the duplicate).

  • Off: no check.
  • Warn: enrolls normally and reports how many were duplicates.
  • Block: a contact already active in another campaign does not join again.
💡 The guard applies only to outreach campaigns and cadences. Internal automations are never blocked. The same contact is recognized by the record or by the same email.
