Grower portal · email sign-in and what growers see

The grower portal is an external area where a grower signs in with an authorized email and follows their own quotes, grain contracts, barter deals, agronomic visits and lots. There is no password: access comes through a link sent to the registered email, and the grower only sees what belongs to them. This page covers how to grant access, how the grower signs in and what shows up for them.

What it is for

Half the calls a dealer takes are growers asking what is happening with their proposal, how much of the barter is left to deliver, or what the lot code is. The portal answers all of that on its own. It is read-only: the grower looks, they change nothing. The commercial work keeps happening inside the system, with your team.

Granting access

  1. Open the Agribusiness menu, go to the Growers tab and select the grower.
  2. In the portal access block, fill in Portal access emails with the authorized addresses separated by commas.
  3. Click Save access.
  4. Click Copy sign-in link. The portal address, already carrying your workspace code, goes to the clipboard.
  5. Send that address to the grower through whatever channel you use with them.
💡 You can register more than one email on the same grower: the farm owner, the manager and the son who handles the commercial side. They all sign in to the same portal and see the same data for that grower.

How the grower signs in

  1. The grower opens the address you sent.
  2. The screen asks for the Workspace code, already filled in by the link, and their email.
  3. They click Send access link.
  4. If the email is on the authorized list, an email arrives with a sign-in button. The link is good for 30 minutes.
  5. Clicking it opens the portal with the grower's name at the top, and the session stays valid for a period, with no password needed.
  6. They leave through the Sign out button.

The screen returns the same message for an authorized email and for an unknown one: if this email has access, you will receive a link. That is deliberate. A different answer for each case would tell a stranger which emails are registered in your system.

What appears in the portal

  • Quotes: that grower's proposals, with crop, status and subtotal.
  • Grain contracts: the commodity, volume and status of each contract.
  • Barter: the deals, with commodity, committed volume and status.
  • Visits: the agronomic visits on record, with purpose, date and status, newest first.
  • Lots and traceability: the grower's lots with the lot code and the traceability code of each one.

The portal is presented in ten languages, chosen from the grower's browser language. Sections with no data show a message saying there is nothing there yet, rather than disappearing.

Example: The dealer registers ana@santaritafarm.com and manager@santaritafarm.com on the grower Ana Kuhn and sends the link. Ana signs in and sees 3 quotes, 1 corn contract for 3,000 bags, the soybean barter with 600 bags still to deliver, the agronomist's last 4 visits and the 2 lots from the harvest, with the traceability codes ready to pass along to her buyer.

The isolation, in plain terms

Access is bound to the grower the email belongs to. There is no way for a grower to request another grower's data: the binding comes from the access link itself, not from something their browser reports. The authorization is rechecked on every access, not only at sign-in.

Cutting access off

  1. Open the grower on the Growers tab.
  2. Remove the email from the Portal access emails field.
  3. Click Save access.

The cut takes effect immediately. Even if the person still has a session open or a link in their inbox, the next access is refused, because the authorized list is checked again on every visit. Emptying the field entirely turns the portal off for that grower.

Common questions

  • Can the grower change anything? No. The portal is read-only.
  • Does the grower see cost price or margin? No. They see the subtotal of their own quotes and the volumes of their own contracts, nothing about your operation.
  • The link expired. Just request another one on the same screen: the link is good for 30 minutes for security.
  • The email never arrived. Check that the address on the authorized list matches exactly, with no stray spaces, and ask the grower to look in the spam folder.
  • Do I need to enable anything besides the vertical? No, but the Agribusiness vertical has to be on and the grower has to be registered with at least one authorized email.
