Journeys: automatic cross-module orchestration

A journey is a sequence (the same visual builder as cadences) triggered by an event from ANY CRM module, not just marketing. You pick the entry trigger (record created, record edited, a field changing to a value, or the record entering a segment) and design what happens: emails, tasks, notifications, conditions and waits. It fires automatically and never duplicates: each record enters a journey only once.

Open Settings › Journeys. Click New journey, give it a name and pick the object (Lead, Contact, Opportunity, Ticket or any of your objects).

The entry trigger

  • Record created: enters when a new record of the object is created. You can require a condition (e.g. source equals Website).
  • Record edited: enters when a record is saved with changes and matches the condition.
  • Field changes to a value: enters when a field takes the value you set (e.g. status changes to Qualified).
  • Enters a segment: enters when the record starts matching a dynamic segment you already built in Marketing › Segments.

Design the journey

Use the visual builder (the same as cadences and automations): add email, WhatsApp, SMS, task, notification, set field, webhook, condition and wait steps. Channels without an integration appear disabled and are skipped without breaking the journey.

  1. Build the trigger and the flow and click Save.
  2. Activate the journey with the status toggle to start enrolling records.
  3. From then on, every record that matches the trigger enters automatically.
💡 Idempotency is guaranteed: the same record is never enrolled twice in the same journey. A daily sweep also catches records that started matching a segment without a live edit (e.g. a time-based condition).
