Messages: internal team chat
Chat with colleagues in your workspace in real time: direct messages (1:1) and groups, with @mentions that notify the person and an unread counter.
Messages is the internal chat between people in your workspace. It is different from Live chat, which talks to visitors on your website. Here you exchange messages with teammates, in near real time.
Start a conversation
- Open Messages in the menu and click "New conversation".
- Pick one teammate for a direct message (1:1), or several to create a group.
- When you pick more than one person, name the group and click Create.
Mention someone
Type @ and start typing a teammate's name to pick from the list. The mentioned person gets a bell notification, respecting their notification preferences.
Unread
- Each conversation shows how many new messages you have not read yet.
- Opening a conversation marks its messages as read automatically.
- Your own messages never count as unread.
💡 Conversations are isolated per workspace: nobody outside your organization can see or join them.
