Contracts

The Contract object stores the customer, term, value, status and renewal, so you can stay on top of the post-sale relationship.

Contracts is a standard object for recording the deals you close with your customers and tracking their term and renewal.

Main fields

  • Contract: the name or number of the contract.
  • Customer: the company that is party to the contract (a relationship to Companies).
  • Value: the total or recurring amount.
  • Term start and end: the contract period.
  • Status: draft, active, expired, canceled or renewed.
  • Auto-renewal and Renewal date: to keep track of the next cycle.

Automatic renewal reminder

The system notifies the contract owner when the end of the term (or the renewal date) is 30 days away or less. It is a bell notification and does not repeat every day. It only applies to contracts with an "active" status.

💡 Combine it with cross-object rules or automations based on the "Renewal date" to generate follow-up tasks and never miss a renewal.

Ready-made contract templates

Under Settings → Contract templates you store reusable clauses. Click Ready-made templates to open a gallery with 10 common types (services, software/SaaS license, NDA, consulting, product supply, maintenance, subscription, statement of work, partner/reseller and freelance) and add one with a click. They are drafts with bracketed placeholders for you to fill in.

💡 The templates are generic starting points, not legal advice. Review them with your legal team before using.
